Silicone Thermal Grease
A silicone paste for the thinnest possible joint between two flat surfaces, such as a power device and its heat sink. It never cures, so the parts can be separated and refitted, and it is made to stay put at temperature with very little oil bleed. Six grades span 1.0 to 4.0 W/m·K.

Choosing a grade
- The two surfaces are flat and clamped together, and the interface should be as thin as possible.
- The assembly may need to be taken apart again for service or rework.
- For long service near hot parts, the higher grades also bleed the least oil (0.1 % or less after 24 h at 200 °C on ZLA-4312).
- Wider or uneven gap? Use a dispensable thermal gel. Part must also be held in place? Use a thermally conductive sealant or adhesive.
